The Minister for Tourism, Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that Kerala Tourism will focus on strategies to intervene in the Russian travel market to increase tourist arrivals from the country to Kerala. The minister said this while inaugurating a seminar on ‘Prospects of Kerala Tourism in Russia’ in the Capital City of Thiruvananthapuram, organized by the Russian Culture Centre and the KTDC Hotels and Resorts. The minister also said that the government would extend all support to stakeholders to increase Russian tourist arrivals to Kerala. In the inaugural address of the seminar the minister also opined that the Russian Culture Centre would take adequate steps to train the local youth in Russian language, enabling them to become good guides and interpreters.
