Traders extend unqualified support to Grand Kerala Shopping Festival

The Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) promoted by the Industries Department of Kerala and Kerala Tourism in association with other government departments and with the participation of the trading community of Kerala had proven itself as a successful venture through its previous two editions. This year, spurred by the rewarding experience in the past two GKSFs, the representatives of the trading community extended their full support to the next edition of GKSF, scheduled to take place by the end of this year. The support came in during a preliminary round of discussion on the third season of GKSF held recently in Kerala under the auspices of the Industries Department.

Inaugurating the gathering, the General Convener for GKSF,
Mr. T. Balakrishnan said that interactive sessions would take place in different parts of Kerala as follow-ups to the preliminary discussion, in which traders from different segments would take part. Mr. Balakrishnan also said that the organizers would take effective and required steps this time to give a clear understanding on the modus operandi of the shopping festival to the traders and also the consumers. He also touched upon the highlights of the past editions of GKSF and cited more advancement in the upcoming edition of the GKSF. Some of the shortcomings faced during previous seasons were also discussed and in the preliminary discussion solutions were recommended to overcome them.
