They came, they saw, and got conquered will be the best lines to describe the Kochi stopover point of Volvo Ocean Race. The event had changed the days of Kochi into thrilling ones.
Many cultural programmes, including dance and music events, were held as part of the festival. The travelers found it amazing to be in Kochi, with the city offering them the best of its hospitality. All of them were in much appreciation of for the beautiful state and the charming city and the kind of reception that they received here.
On 13 December 2008, eight teams set out to Singapore to start the third leg of the race. Dr. Venu, V., Secretary, Kerala Tourism, has said that the event has been a giant success, and it has become another sparkling feather in Kerala Tourism’s cap.
