The tunnel carrying water pipes at Vellayambalam in the capital city, Thiruvananthapuram,
could soon host travelers visiting the city. The Minister for Tourism, Mr.
Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, while inaugurating the Platinum Jubilee celebrations
of the Wellington Water Works drew attention to the 200 m tunnel, carrying
water pipes at Vellayambalam, as a potential tourist attraction. This aspect
could be made part of Kerala Tourism?s marketing strategy, the minister
said.
