The arrival of Aida Aura at Kochi port marked the beginning of the 2010 new cruise season for Kochi. The luxury cruise liner Aida Aura arrived at the Kochi port in October with 1,233 passengers. First to reach Kochi in the new cruise season, the Kochi port is ready to get busy with other luxury liners expected arrive during the course of this season.
The passengers of Aida Aura had a tour of Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. Some of the visitors went for a short trip to the village of Vaikom in Kottayam district.
Kochi, the foremost cruise destination in the country is in for a busy cruise season this year. The authorities are expecting 40 luxury liners, including the major ones like the Queen Mary II and the Queen Elizabeth during the course of this cruise season.
