Kerala, Asia's best travel destination
Kerala was recently voted as the best Asian Holiday Destination by the readers of the acclaimed travel portal, www.smarttravelasia.com. Kerala took the top spot ahead of Bali, Phuket and the Maldives in a poll conducted over three months across countries in Asia, Europe and North America.
"This is a phenomenal recognition for Kerala and the people who are working in the tourism sector," said Dr. Venu V., Secretary, Kerala Tourism.
The only other Indian destinations to be listed in the top ten were Rajasthan and Goa, which were placed at eighth and tenth spots respectively.
