With 77 foreign tourists, the cruise ship MV Le Diamant arrived at Vizhinjam port in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. This is the first cruise liner that has arrived at the state capital this season.
The passengers of the ship were given a rousing welcome involving the traditional orchestra - the Panchavadyam. The passengers later visited the famous Padmanabhapuram Palace, located in the Kanyakumari district. Some of the visitors went for a short trip to the Kovalam Beach and the lighthouse situated there. After nine hours of berthing the ship set sail for Colombo.
