'Best Website' award for Kerala Tourism

The first e-governance award of Kerala government in the 'Best website' category went to the official website of Kerala Tourism - www.keralatourism.org. The website was adjudged the best in the category, considering its multiple online services for the travel community worldwide and in the process highlighting Kerala's potential and edge in the travel and tourism sector.

According to the Chief Minister, Mr. V. S. Achuthanandan, the conventional modes of governance were fast giving way to e-governance and the rewards of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Kerala are highly appreciable. This in turn would strengthen the efficiency of various government services to the people of Kerala and ensure transparency in administration.
