Pandipat - an eco-tourism destination

Pandipat, located in the Kerala-Tamilnadu border, an area which comes under the Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary in Thiruvananthapuram is fast becoming popular as an eco-tourism destination. It is also a place where one can find herds of wild buffalo. Pandipat is gifted with green landscapes, small streams, hillocks, and animals like gaur, Malabar giant squirrel and elk - a large-sized deer. Trekking facility is also available here.

To reach Pandipat, one has to take an adventure trip through the historical 'Travancore Pathway' from Thiruvananthapuram. This pathway falls between Kallar and Amba Samudram. It can also be accessible from Bonakkad, the base station for treks to the famous peak Agasthyarkoodam.
