As part of the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF), Season 4, Kerala Tourism organized an international craft fair at Kottakunnu in Malappuram district. The fair was successful and it gave a chance for the people of Kerala to know the rich culture of other nations and other Indian states.
Craftsmen from Egypt, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Afghanistan participated in the fair. Instead of the conventional stalls, traditional workplaces were on show, so that the visitors and tourists were able to watch the craftsmen at work.
In addition to the foreign craftsmen, those from Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Puducherry (formerly Pondicherry) participated in the fair.
