The official website of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) Hotels and Resorts -www.ktdc.com has won the Kerala State E-governance Awards - 2009 for the best website. KTDC, a synonym for a range of hospitality services to tourists visiting Kerala, has in recent years made an online impact that helped its range of products and services to reach travellers worldwide.
The website of KTDC underwent significant changes in terms of its content presentation and design. The efforts saw the website transforming into a more user-friendly one with features that provided users with interactive options and other resources that helped them to plan holidays in Kerala efficiently than ever before. And with the mother website leading to dedicated websites for KTDC premium properties, other segments like budget, Tamarind and economy class hotels also were given more online space in the latest version of the website.
Some of the highlights of online features in the current KTDC website include facility for online room reservation; an interactive map to locate KTDC properties in Kerala and virtual reality movies.
