Tourist facilitation centre on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border
A new tourist facilitation centre is going to come up at Parasala on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. To be set up by Kerala Tourism, the facilitation centre would come up on the Kerala Tourism site located by the side of NH-47 at Karali near Parasala.
The decision for a facilitation centre stemmed from the fact that Kerala does not have such a facility between Thiruvananthapuram and Kaliyakkavila, close to the Tamil Nadu border. The decision was also taken considering the importance of the destinations in Thiruvananthapuram and to market the same in the border areas of the district.
Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala is considered as the gateway to the southernmost parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
