Wagamon: venue for International adventure tourism fair

Wagamon, known as Asia's Scotland and also the venue for International Paragliding festival since 2006, recently got a shot in its arm, when it got selected as the venue for International Adventure Tourism fair by the Minister for Tourism, Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. A committee has been set up for the purpose with Tourism Secretary, Dr. Venu V., as Chairman and Mr. Gopavarma the Chairman of Adventure and Sustainable Tourism Academy and others as members.

The fair would strive to provide a platform for promoting the adventure tourism potential of Kerala like trekking, paragliding and water sports like wind surfing, scuba diving, backwater biking and para-sailing.
