Alappuzha Backwater Tourism Master Plan
Tourism in Alappuzha has found place in the State Government’s 100-day programme. The major work under the master plan is the development of a backwater tourism circuit.
"The master plan of about Rs. 50 million has been completed and will be submitted to the Union Government for approval," said Mr. A. P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism. Alappuzha, one of the top destinations in the state, can utilise its potential as a coastal town, he added.
