Bharat Darshan begins journey
Bharat Darshan, a tourist train has set off its journey from Madurai railway station in Tamil Nadu to major tourist and pilgrim destinations in the country. The train will pass through Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Varanasi, Gaya, Allahabad, Haridwar, Delhi, Mathura, Agra, Jaipur and Hyderabad.
Operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the 15-day tour package includes sleeper-class train ticket, vegetarian food, accommodation wherever night stay is planned and buses for local sightseeing.
The IRCTC has also planned two tour packages from Thiruvananthapuram to Tirupati and Goa.
