Fort Kochi heritage to be preserved
To explore the potential of heritage tourism at Fort Kochi, District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) Ernakulam with the active participation of local residents has launched unique projects for the conservation of Fort Kochi's heritage.
Old photographs, artifacts and such other articles that throw light on the rich heritage of Fort Kochi will be collected with the help of local people. The data regarding the collected materials will also be recorded. Later these collected materials will be displayed at a heritage exhibition.
A public sanitation campaign will be conducted and also awareness programmes will be launched to preserve the greenery of the surroundings.
