Adventure tourism equipment at Pookot
To woo more travellers in the adventure tourism segment, various water sports equipment have been introduced at Pookot Lake in the Wayanad District. With the aim of 'fun with water', the project was recently inaugurated by Mr. A. P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism. Aquatic zorbing balls, water cycles and rafts are the major water sports equipment introduced.
Besides the launching of water sports equipment, the Tourism Minister also inaugurated the renovation works at Pookot Lake. The works include those of the boat jetty, floating restaurant, children's park, landscaping and gardening.
