Kerala Tourism wins bronze at PIAF 2012
Kerala Tourism has joined an illustrious league of world's most admired brands, by winning a bronze at the prestigious Prague International Advertising Festival (PIAF) 2012. Kerala Tourism's international advertisement campaign 'Your Moment is Waiting' won the medal in the category of 'state as an advertiser'.
"This is an unprecedented honour for us. It is a recognition to the hard work put in by Kerala Tourism in managing the brand 'Kerala' and devising effective marketing strategies," said Mr. A. P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala.
"The award at Prague is another big endorsement at the global level for our efforts to further promote Kerala in the world tourism circuit. This recognition reiterates that our efforts are on the right track," said Ms. Rani George, Director, Kerala Tourism.
Kerala Tourism's recognition in Prague comes close on the heels of a dozen awards, including three Gold Medals at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) international awards, again won by the campaign film – 'Your Moment is Waiting'. This campaign, launched in London in 2010, was produced by Stark Communications Pvt Ltd. Both the film and print versions of the campaign feature glimpses of sublime and exquisite moments of realization felt by tourists.
PIAF is an exclusive event in the global advertising calendar. The winners were chosen by a jury of experienced advertising professionals, representatives of advertisers, marketing specialists and young creative professionals. The other big names which shared the podium with Kerala Tourism were McDonald's Germany, Sony Pictures, Heineken and Lego.
