Kerala Tourism bags Conde Nast Travel Award

Kerala Tourism has won the prestigious Conde Nast Travel Award in the newly introduced category for taking Brand India to the World.

The Excellence in Taking 'Brand India' Global Award instituted by the travel magazine is in recognition to the significant contribution of Kerala Tourism to the country's travel industry and for affirming India's position on the global travel map.

"The award is a big recognition to the State's sustained global campaign, pitching God's Own Country as a 'must-see' destination in the world. With an abundant natural beauty, a pleasant weather and warm hospitality and services, Kerala has emerged as a world-class tourist destination representing the country well abroad," said Mr. A. P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala.

"The award for Kerala Tourism's efforts in firmly establishing 'Brand India' on the world travel map is an encouragement to our State to do even better," opined Mr. Suman Billa, Secretary, Kerala Tourism.

"It is a great privilege for Kerala Tourism to be a significant part of the efforts to put 'Brand India' on the global map. It is because of the efforts of everyone, from the guides to tour operators, restaurants to resorts and all those who are part of our State's tourism and travel industry," said Ms. Rani George, Director, Kerala Tourism.
