Kerala Tourism bags Das Golden Stadttor Award at ITB-Berlin
Kerala Tourism has bagged yet another global recognition the prestigious Das Golden Stadttor (Golden Gate) award at the world's leading travel show - ITB Berlin. Print campaign of Kerala Tourism's promotional movie 'Your Moment is Waiting' has been awarded the Silver Prize in the Print Campaign Category at the Golden Gate awards.
"The Berlin event draws up the who's who of the world tourism industry and the Golden City Gate awards pick up the best creativity in the industry. We are extremely happy to be on the honours roster here also, this time making a mark for our print campaign," said Ms. Rani George, Director, Kerala Tourism after receiving the award.
"It is another big endorsement at the global level to our efforts to further promote Brand Kerala in the world tourism circuit. The Government has launched an intense drive to attract quality travellers from niche markets and increase the share of foreign tourism receipts. The award clearly reiterates that our efforts are right on the track," said Mr. A.P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala
"Our campaign is powerfully backed up by a number of tools like road shows in the key global markets and participation in the festivals. We received a warm response to the road shows in Berlin in January 2012," said Mr. T. K. Manoj Kumar, Secretary, Kerala Tourism.
Kerala Tourism had set up its biggest stall at the ITB Berlin 2012. The stall, themed on the backwaters and Chinese fishing nets, was spread over 127.5 sq ms. The print campaign was conceptualized and created by Stark Communications Pvt. Ltd.
With more than 1,70,000 visitors, including 1,08,000 trade visitors, and over 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries, ITB Berlin is the leading B2B-Platform for world tourism industry.
