Eco-tourism project at Ranipuram
Blessed with natural wonders and rich bio-diversity, Ranipuram in Kasaragod district is now an eco-tourism destination. Situated about 750 m above sea level and about 45 km from Kanhangad, Ranipuram is comparable to Ooty in its natural beauty.
"Steps would be taken to set up trekking facilities to link the hills surrounding the location and it would enhance the tourism potential of the destination," said Mr. A. P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala, as part of the inauguration of an eco-tourism project here.
With the co-ordination of various departments like the Forests Department, Kerala Tourism will ensure the speedy implementation of Ranipuram project. The Kerala Tourism is also planning to develop a tourism circuit linking Bekal Fort and Ranipuram.
