GKSF eyes yet another splendid festival season

Preparations to transform Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) into an international tourism experience have begun in Kerala. To continue the popularity, the sixth edition of GKSF aims to develop Kerala as a commercial centre during the 45-day festival.

"GKSF is successfully moving towards its sixth season by gaining inspiration and experiences from the pervious editions," said Mr. U. V. Jose, Director, GKSF. The sixth season of GKSF will be an effort to upgrade Kerala as an international trade center, he added.

In the previous season, GKSF made a record by distributing around fifty lakh gift coupons to the participants. Initially, GKSF had to visit dealers to join the shopping festival. But the recent editions of the shopping festival saw the dealers themselves coming forward, expressing their willingness to participate. During the last GKSF, dealers played a key role in its success. This year too the festival expects a huge participation from the dealers.

In season 5, international brands like Tata Motors were among the sponsors and GKSF looks forward to more sponsors of international standards.
