Mobile website to guide tourists
The upgraded mobile version of Kerala Tourism website to promote State's tourism products and services is ready for a formal launch. The new WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) website (m.keralatourism.org) is part of the several user-friendly mobile-based applications that are being rolled out by Kerala Tourism to provide credible 'anytime, anywhere information' to the travellers.
The mobile website includes topics like Kerala at a glance, Ayurvedic centres, art forms, cuisine, houseboats, hotels / resorts / homestays, tour packages / travel agents / tour operators, festival calendar, shopper's guide, route information and maps, Instruction for tourists, wallpaper downloads, photos, videos and search options among others. For easy navigation, users have been provided with a search facility using keywords.
The website also provides registration option for visitors. They can do so by registering their mobile number and e-mail ids and can get the latest news and updates from Kerala Tourism. Travellers can also submit photos and messages. Selected photos and blogs will be screened and displayed on the WAP site. The mobile website would provide a whole new dimension to Kerala Tourism and consolidate its position among potential tourists.
