Paithalmala tourist complex, built as part of the Paithalmala Eco-tourism Project (PEP), is all set to become operational under the management of the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) Hotels & Resorts. With 12 rooms for accommodation, a restaurant and a facilitation centre, the tourist complex will make Paithalmala, a perfect ecotourism destination in north Kerala.

Envisaged as part of the Integrated Northern Circuit Scheme of the Central Government, the tourist complex is a major component of the eco-tourism project conceived to develop the hill tracts of Paithalmala into a tourist destination.

Located 4500 ft above sea level on the Kerala-Karnataka border in the eastern part of Kannur district, Paithalmala is a major attraction for tourists, including adventure lovers, as it offers a panoramic view of its surrounding hills and valleys cloaked in greenery.
