Renovated Malampuzha garden opened for tourists
Situated in the lap of the Western Ghats, the renovated Malampuzha Garden has been opened to tourists. Renovated at a cost of Rs. 22 million the garden will now offer a new experience for tourists.
The newly revamped Malampuzha Garden includes a Rock Garden, Japanese Park, Nandi Park, Krishna Park and music fountains. The surroundings of the all-time favourite Malampuzha Yakshi (celestial damsel), built by the famous sculptor of Kerala - Kanai Kunjiraman, have also been beautified.
Located in Palakkad district, the Malampuzha Garden and the reservoir attract a large number of tourists; both domestic and foreign every year. With enchanting hills in the vicinity and several species of flora and fauna in the Akamalavaram forest on the other side of the reservoir, the dam destination will be a great attraction for tourists and nature lovers in the coming days.
