Kerala Tourism road shows in European cities
Kerala Tourism organised road shows in major European cities like London, Madrid and Milan recently.
Screening of Kerala Tourism's campaign film 'Your Moment is Waiting' and overview of the travel attractions and tourism developments in Kerala were the major events as part of the road shows. There was also a B2B session with the trade participants from these cities and the delegation from Kerala. A contest - Go Kerala - was also held in partnership with Qatar Airways. A fully-paid Kerala holiday (including flight & hospitality) was offered to two winners from each city.
The Kerala delegation which included nearby 29 tourism service providers was led by Ms. Rani George, Director, Kerala Tourism. These road shows aimed to attract more foreign tourists to Kerala from these European cities, which are considered as potential markets for Kerala Tourism. As per the tourist statistics 10,658 Spanish travellers visited Kerala in 2010, which is 19% more compared to 2009. 15,262 travellers from Italy and 1,56,265 from London also visited the state in 2010.
