A Rs.42 million project will be launched for the comprehensive development of Shankhumugham, one of the favorites tourist spots in Kerala by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC). Kerala Tourism has already sanctioned Rs. 25 million for developing Shankhumugham in Thiruvananthapuram.
The proposed project aims for the development of basic amenities and infrastructure by conserving the heritage and natural beauty of the spot. The historical monuments at Shankhumugham will be repaired and maintained and exclusive zones for children and senior citizens would also come up.
