Kerala Tourism felicitated the winners of the sixth edition of Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) at a glittering function held in Thiruvananthapuram recently. Mr. A.P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala presented certificates to Thundathil Sunnykutty who won the first prize of one kg gold and Joemon and Manalath Hairuneesa, the second prize winners, who won half a kg gold each. Business establishments which sold the prize winning coupons were also honoured at the function.
The minister, in his address, said the next edition of the festival would be held in an elaborate scale. "A record Rs. 5.5 lakh coupons were sold this year and a big increase is expected in the next edition", he said.
Mr. Suman Billa, Secretary, Kerala Tourism presided over the function. GKSF director Mr. U.V. Jose welcomed the gathering. GKSF state co-ordinator Mr. V. Vijayan and South Indian Bank DGM, Mr. N.J. Reddy addressed the function.
