Tourism project for Kanjirakolly in Kannur

One more destination is getting ready in Kannur giving this northern district more prominence on the tourism map of Kerala. Kanjirakolly, situated about 54 km from Kannur town, is an emerging tourist destination identified by Kerala Tourism. To explore the tourist attractions at Kanjirakolly, Kerala Tourism has launched the first phase of developmental works here. Mr. A. P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala has laid the foundation stone for a tourist facilitation centre here recently.

A tourism information office, walkway, security measures for tourists and a parking area are the major developmental works to be completed at Kanjirakolly. Kerala Tourism is also planning to develop a proper transportation facility between Pythal Mala and Kanjirakolly, which will help to increase the tourist flow to the region.

The tourism minister has also inaugurated a tourism facilitation centre and an art gallery at Parassinikadavu in Kannur district.
