Muziris project works inaugurated

Mr. A.P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala, inaugurated the Muziris Heritage Project works in the Kodungalloor constituency the other day.

The works include a visitor centre at municipal bus stand, Cheraman Parambu activity centre, walkway and toilet block at Kodungalloor Bhagavathy temple and Thiruvanchikulam Mahadeva temple, Cheraman Islamic Museum, walkway and modernisation of the Kurisadi at Kottapuram cathedral.

Muziris Heritage Project is a Government of Kerala project to reinstate the historical and cultural significance of the legendary port of Muziris. The Muziris Heritage Site (MHS) stretches across from the municipality of North Paravur in Ernakulam district to that of Kodungalloor in Thrissur district.
