The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) Ernakulam is all set to start boat services from its newly built boat terminal, close to the High Court of Kerala.
Located near the Kettuvallam Bridge on Greater Cochin Development Authority’s (GCDA) new walkway, Ernakulam DTPC plans to begin tourist boat services on selected routes. The first cruise route to become operational will be the Thripunithura Hill Palace – Marine Drive cruise. The two-hour cruise will provide a waterway link from the palace to Chottanikkara temple and Ernakulam temple. The tour from Hill Palace to Marine Drive will be through Champakkara canal, Vyttila Mobility Hub and Thevara.
The terminal, owned by the Irrigation Department, will have a restaurant, snack counter and information counter at its premises.
