Mr. S. Harikishore, IAS has assumed charge as the new Director of Kerala Tourism.
S. Harikishore I.A.S. hailing from Cherukunnu in Kannur district of Kerala with an excellent academic background made it to the fraternity of civil service with a high rank of 14 in the civil service examination in 2008.
He secured first rank in mechanical engineering from the University of Kannur and did his masters from IIT Kanpur with G.E. Foundation scholarship. Prior to joining civil service, he served as a lecturer at the Amritha School of Engineering.
Starting his career in civil service as Assistant Collector in Kollam district, Mr. Harikishore later took charge as sub-collector in Chengannur and Mananthavadi. In his brief career itself, his tenure as Director of SC & ST Departments turned out to be a notable one.
Mr. Harikishore has also become inspirational for youngsters in Kerala to aim high for a career in civil service through his book - Ningalkum IAS Nedam, which became an instant success.
