Kerala Tourism Steps into Scandinavia
In the latest effort by Kerala Tourism to attract visitors from emerging tourism markets, three roadshows were held in the Scandinavian countries. The roadshows held in Norway, Finland and Denmark drew wide attention from the local travel trade. More than 80 representatives from 55 companies participated in the roadshows.
“All the three roadshows received a warm response from the local tourism industry representatives. The roadshows will help attract more visitors from the Nordic region to Kerala in the future,” said Mr. P. I. Sheik Pareeth, Director, Kerala Tourism who led the delegation comprising industry representatives from the State.
Mr. N. A. K. Browne, India’s Ambassador to Norway was the chief guest at the roadshow held in Oslo. While Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Ambassador of India to Finland and Estonia was the chief guest at the roadshow held in Helsinki, the chief guest at the roadshow held in Copenhagen was Mr. Niraj Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Denmark.
