Various marketing programmes will be chalked out for developing Thenmala, India’s first planned ecotourism destination into a tourism hub, said Mr. A. P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala. He said this after inaugurating the new boating facility at Thenmala dam.
“Thenmala has its own features. Measures will be taken to get tourist’s attention to the Butterfly Park and Palaruvi falls in the Thenmala region. Financial assistance will be provided to the Forest Department for making the destination more attractive,” said Mr. A. P. Anilkumar.
As part of the new marketing initiatives, Kerala Tourism will also launch innovative advertising campaigns for Thenmala.
