The lush greenery of Kerala, its placid backwaters, breathtaking monsoon rains and the Ayurveda-themed pavilion of Kerala Tourism welcomed Arab travellers at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2015, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
A delegation, led by Mr. P. I. Sheik Pareeth, Director, Kerala Tourism and Mr. Ali Agsar Pasha, Managing Director, Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) represented Kerala in the four-day fair.
“Considering tourist arrivals to Kerala from the Middle-East, Saudi Arabia is the main market followed by U.A.E., Oman and Kuwait,” said Mr. A. P. Anilkumar, Minister for Tourism, Kerala.
“The Middle-East is like a second home to many Keralites and there is a great opportunity to network with the tourism trade here,” said Mr. G. Kamala Vardhana Rao, Secretary, Kerala Tourism.
Mr. P. I. Sheik Pareeth, Director, Kerala Tourism informed that the trade networking department was planning to conduct a massive destination promotional campaign targeting the promising Middle-East market and Arab travellers.
The Arabian Travel Market, a leading travel fair held annually in Dubai, served as a venue for the ‘Visit Kerala’ campaign in the Middle-East, based on monsoon, Ayurveda and greenery.
