Kerala Tourism, under the aegis of Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society (KATPS), is conducting the 7th International Paragliding Adventure Carnival sponsored by the Mathrubhumi Yathra magazine at Vagamon, Idukki. The festival is being held in association with the Fly Vagamon club, Vagamon Destination Management Committee and Paragliding Association of India.
Aimed at promoting Vagamon as an adventure tourism destination for Keralites and for inbound tourists, the paragliding event will be held from 21 February 2015 to 1 March 2015 at scenic Vedikuzhi. The event will commence from 12.00 PM until 6.00 PM during the festival days.
This latest edition of the carnival will witness renowned paragliders from around the world converge in Kerala to set the skies abuzz with their wonderful antics.
Over 50 national and international paragliding pilots are expected to take part in the carnival. Visitors can expect to see a spectacular acrobatic show every day with international pilots led by Calin Popa from Romania. Visitors also have the option to go for a joyride with expert pilots and become a part of the event.
