The second edition of the Kerala Blog Express organized by Kerala Tourism has completed its tour. The tour took some of world’s foremost online travel writers to various destinations in Kerala. The tour was flagged off by Mr. V. S. Sivakumar, Minister for Health, Family Welfare and Devaswom.
Taking part in this two-week road trip are thirty travel bloggers / photographers / writers who were selected through online voting and later short listed by the campaign management team.
“Numerous promotional schemes like Google ads, Facebook ads and blogger outreach activities were employed for reaching out to the travel blogger community,” said Ms. Anupama T.V., Additional Director, Kerala Tourism.
While the first season in 2014 had 664 entries during the selection process, the second season saw 702 entries. As many as 30 participants from 21 countries were selected this year, compared to 27 from 14 countries in the previous year.
