Kerala is exploring the possibility of creating a new tourism circuit in partnership with Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Kerala Tourism is also working out the details of mutual tourism packages as part of Visit Kerala Year 2015 – an initiative to promote the state’s destinations, involving the stakeholders in the tourism industry.
“A travel itinerary that includes three of the most popular destinations in South Asia will certainly appeal to many tourists. We are particularly looking at visitors from the Far East. It will be a very interesting package that offers, on one hand, many geographical and cultural similarities, and on the other very unique experiences in each region,” said Mr. G. Kamala Vardhana Rao, Secretary, Kerala Tourism.
