“The state government will initiate steps to increase the foreign as well as domestic tourist inflow into the state,” Mr. A. C. Moideen, Minister for Tourism, Kerala, said in the State Legislative Assembly. “Kerala Tourism is committed to devise plans to double the international tourist inflow in five years and ensure 50 percent growth in domestic tourist inflow,” he said.
In order to raise the tourist inflow, the government will try to increase Kerala’s air connectivity with major national and international destinations. This includes chartered flights from European countries and connectivity between Goa and Kerala, the Minister has said.
