Facilities at Hydel Tourism Centres to be Upgraded
In a bid to give a major fillip to hydel tourism, Mr. M. M. Mani, Minister for Electricity, Kerala, has said that more amenities will be provided at hydel tourism centres.
The minister who was inaugurating the project under Swadeshi Darshan Scheme, an initiative to develop theme-based tourism circuits in India, said that with the number of dams in the state, Kerala has the potential to develop hydel tourism.
He further said that the facilities at the Kerala State Electricity Board quarters in Cheruthoni, Idukki, will be modernised to suit the needs of tourists.
