Two-Day Kerala Investment Conclave Inaugurated

Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Kerala, has inaugurated the two-day Kerala Investment Conclave 2016 aimed at examining the potential of northern Kerala as an investment destination. 

Organised by the Greater Malabar Initiative (GMi), a panel of entrepreneurs and professionals, the meet saw ministers and officials of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA), and Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) speak at the conclave.

Healthcare, education, skill development, food processing, and value-added production of goods were some of the topics which the meet engaged on apart from focusing on tourism development in northern Kerala.  The GMi examined the prospects of developing a tourism circuit connecting Wayanad, Bekal, and Kappad. Discussions were also held on the chances of setting up a ‘smart city’ on Mavoor Grasim Industries’ land at Mavoor. 

Several NRI businessmen and investors from other parts of the country were in attendance at the meet.
