Kerala Tourism is all set to come up with more financial packages and relief for the tourism sector. Kerala will be promoted as a safe and hygienic destination for prospective tourists, said Ms. Rani George IAS, Secretary, Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala. The SOPs for key focus areas such as Ayurveda, health and wellness, and adventure tourism sectors are being prepared, she added, while talking in a video conference organised by FICCI National Tourism Committee recently. The Meet saw tourism stakeholders and industry players discussing the way forward in view of the COVID-19 crisis.
Post COVID-19, Kerala Tourism hopes to focus on domestic tourism. The idea will be to promote prominent destinations in the state aggressively.
