Virtual Kerala Travel Mart to be held in November

The 11th edition of the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) 2020 will be held online in November. The biennial meet will be held from November 23 to 27. As many as 500 sellers and 2,500 buyers from across the globe are expected to attend the meet this year.

The mega trade and fair event, which connects travel agents from all over the world and service providers in Kerala, will be going online for the first time in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The stakeholders of the tourism industry have pegged their hopes high on the meet. The last edition had featured over 35,000 business meetings in which 10,000 meetings were with overseas buyers. More participants are expected to attend the meet this year, as it is being held virtually.

The online platform will let the buyers explore the stalls, view the tourism products, and interested parties can make appointments with sellers and further their trade talks.

The focus of this year's KTM will be on showcasing products and SOPs tailormade to address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The timings of the event will be in line with the time zones of the buyers in the international market.
