Monsoon to be popularised by Kerala Tourism

Published in Newsletter Issue No. 332 - April 2021

In its bid to woo travellers and tide over the crisis of the pandemic, Kerala Tourism is gearing up to launch a campaign centred on the monsoons. The monsoon season in Kerala is one of the most engaging times of the year, and travellers arrive from far and wide to enjoy the fabulous experience. This season, monsoon tourism will be popularised by the department through a series of videos.

It has been decided to make Kerala’s monsoon tourism popular in other parts of the country before its onset in June-July. The department has set aside funds for the campaign, and it will be promoted on the social media. Short promotional videos in Hindi and English centred on the monsoon season will be brought out. The target group is domestic travellers, especially those from North India.

An amount Rs. 2.83 crores has been sanctioned towards this end. Plans are also afoot to promote responsible tourism across India. For this, three-minute-long video capsules will feature Responsible Tourism activities.
