Kerala Tourism launches Kerala Cuisine Contest 2020-21
Kerala Tourism has launched its much-awaited online cuisine contest for travellers across the world. The Kerala Cuisine Contest 2020-21 (KCC2020-21), the International Online Cooking Competition powered by Kerala Tourism, is a unique campaign aimed at inviting travellers across the globe to experience Kerala's delicacies and encouraging them to remain actively connected to the state on the digital platform.
The campaign inspires travellers to embrace Kerala in their kitchen by exploring the authentic dishes of the state, and to participate in the culinary contest by preparing a dish of their choice and sharing the video with the state tourism department. All one needs to do is cook any of the Kerala dishes and share the cooking video on the official webpage created for the contest. The winners of the contest will get an all-expenses-paid, 7-night family trip to Kerala post-COVID-19. The tour package will cover expenses on travel, accommodation and food.
The contest, which is open to all Non-Keralites within India (but residing outside Kerala) and abroad, was launched recently and has been receiving a steady influx of registrations from participants across the world. A dedicated website has been launched where all the information regarding the contest can be accessed. The campaign will run for over six months and submission of entries can be done until June 2021.
There is no age limit for participants in this contest. Travellers may select from the array of dishes shared on the website and cook the dish of their choice. Kerala Tourism has shared more than 100 cooking videos on its website to help assist the newbies in cooking the dishes. The minimum duration of the video is 3 minutes and the maximum, 5 minutes with the file size of one entry not exceeding 500 MB.
