Kovalam Emerges as a Favourite of Travellers

The unique Virtual Tour Campaign of Kerala Tourism has received much response from the global traveller community. Travellers were taken on a virtual tour of Kovalam, and it garnered the most number of votes in the beach category of the contest. The campaign was launched to enable the travel community scattered across the globe to explore the state's top destinations virtually.


In the beach category, the destination of Kovalam was voted the most by the travellers. Kovalam garnered 63,902 number of votes. The other vote share includes Varkala with 58,308.50; Bekal with 54,331.50; Alappuzha with 54,410.50; Muzhappilangad with 53,032.00 and Kozhikode with 52,226.50.

The video tour of Kovalam which lasted 2 hours saw travellers logging in from various parts of the world to experience the beach destination. 

Virtual Tour Campaign
Every month, starting with beaches, Kerala Tourism features top attractions of the state under various categories viz, hill stations, backwaters, village life experiences, waterfalls and culture trails. All one needs to do is register and then vote the favourite destination. The destination which garners the most number of votes will be featured in the video tour.

Kerala Tourism has also launched a Vote and Win campaign for rewarding those participating in the voting! The winner will be selected through a lucky draw after the voting ends in each category. Seven lucky winners will get a four-night stay at a premium property of KTDC in God's Own Country. Only those who register with the Kerala Virtual Tour campaign during the campaign period from December 28, 2020 to June 27, 2021 and cast their votes are eligible for participation.

For the Monthly Lucky Draw winner, the stay will be for two guests — winner + one guest (family member/friend). The winner of the Mega Lucky Draw will be offered a four-night stay in a standard room with complimentary breakfast and dinner at a premium property of KTDC (Kerala Tourism Development Corporation) along with to and fro flight tickets.
