Come to Munnar and visit one of the Biggest Flower Shows
The 10-day flower show at Munnar has begun on a rosy note with people trooping in from far and wide to see the wide variety of flowers, trees and plants arranged there.
Staged at Government Botanical Garden in Munnar across six acres, the exhibition is organized by the DTPC, Idukki. Over 10,000 flowers and 10,000 plants are on display. Over 3,000 roses, 2,000 dahlias, imported tulips, olive and magnolia are part of the show.
The flower show will also host cultural programmes and will have food courts dishing out the rich variety of Kerala cuisine. The flower show will be on at the botanical garden till May 10, from 9 am to 9 pm.
As there are two weekends falling during the flower show, the DTPC expects a footfall of over 10,000. By hosting the flower show during mid-summer holidays, the DTPC is aiming to make Munnar a destination of renewed tourist interest.
