Flower Show in Trivandrum from December 21 to January 2, 2023
With a display of more than 2 lakh flowers, a flower festival titled ‘Nagara Vasantham' will be organized at Kanakakkunnu Palace and its premises from December 21, 2022, to January 2, 2023.
Organized by District Tourism Promotion Society and Kerala Rose Society, Nagara Vasantham will feature flower shows, an exhibition-cum-sale of agricultural produces, an exhibition of rare herbs and medicinal plants, food festivals, direct experiences of tribal lifestyle, artforms etc.
There will be around 80 stalls spread across the region. A street garden across a stretch of 8 km near Kanakakkunnu Palace is a specialty of the flower show this time. The roads at Vellayambalam, Kowdiar, Sasthamangalam, Vazhuthacaud and Spencer Junction will be decorated with ornamental plants and flowers. It will also bloom at the pavements in front of Corporation Office, Devaswom Board Junction and PMG. Ornamental lights, installations and pictures will add beauty to the landscape of the city.
Parks and adventure activities too have been set up on the premises. Cuisine from various states at the extensive food court, staging of cultural programmes and ornamental fishes are other attractions at the flower show. Promoting nightlife, the show will be open till 1 am.
