Cinema Café opens in Akkulam

In a bid to give a platform for wannabe filmmakers to share their ideas and film-related groups to hold discussions, a Cinema Cafe has been opened at Akkulam Tourist Village in Thiruvananthapuram. The noted filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan inaugurated the café which was started by District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) Thiruvananthapuram.

The cinema-friendly cafe has also prepared a variety of delicacies for visitors to relish while holding discussions and chats. Apart from seafood, a variety of dosas, Chinese and North Indian dishes are available, and it has a customized menu to pamper the palette of the visitors.

Along with this, an art emporium will also be started here as part of the Responsible Tourism Mission initiative. There is an opportunity for artists to organize workshops and market their handicrafts here.
