Floating Bridge comes up at Muzhappilangad Drive-In Beach

Riding on the success of the floating bridge at Beypore, another one has come up at Muzhappilangad drive-in beach in Kannur district. The 100-m bridge has come up at the southern edge of the Muzhappilangad beach, and at the eastern end, there is a platform for visitors to stand.

The tourism department is trying to put up 'floating bridges' across all nine coastal districts of Kerala by April. They will be put in place in association with the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) and the Ports department.

The floating bridge at Muzhappilangad lets visitors enjoy the beauty of the Dharmadam islands and the rocks more. The bridge rises and falls according to the fluctuations of the waves, offering a unique experience to visitors.

A mixture of rubber and plastic is used to make the bridge which can accommodate 100 people at a time. Life jackets will be given to visitors and the entry fee is Rs 120 per person.
